Iran Needs Reassurance That The US Won’t Attack From Iraq

The Iraqi Prime Minister met with the Iranian President on sundy.  The CNN story can be found at www.cnn.com/2008/WORLD/meast/06/08/iraq.iran/index.html .  It seems Iran is needing reassurance that the US will not use Iraq as a starting point to attack Iran.  If Iran was truly worried about a US invasion, wouldn’t they do something to prevent it?  Like, I don’t know, maybe not training, arming and enabling terrorists who continually attack and kill Americans in Iraq?  It seems to any reasonable person, the way to avoid conflict is to avoid conflict.  If Iran continues on its current path, we will be forced to remove the Iranian regime, the same as we removed Saddam from Iraq and the Taliban from Afghanistan.  Peace is in our national interest, but peace is only possible with Iran if Iran acts peacably.
